I was born with nothing but a desire to add my voice to the world by reflecting my world through Artistic Visions from Street images to Jazz
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I have studied both Modern and Classical forms of Painting and Sculpture, but from an early age focused on Animated Cartoons and began drawing them. From age 5 to now in my 60s I felt the drive to reflect what was not there on screens, myself and my friends often wondered why heroes/superheroes did not reflect us. In this I found my purpose, and though I evolved into a classic portrait painter. I abandoned it as I discovered the great Toulouse Lautrec, so I went to the streets to draw the people
Where do you find inspiration?Movement and the capturing of the nuances of a Jazz Musician as he composes notes out of thin air, and translates them into sound for the world to enjoy. As a youth I ran the streets, and dreamed of increasing my abilities to gain entry to Art school of my choice, but I find the pursuit of capturing the genuiness of the subject and their environments from streetwalkers to showgirls, or friends is worth doing. I see it as a record of their existence be it a moment or the capturing of a subtlety.
What would you do with $25,000?I would fulfill my concepts and visions since childhood, and put images in the world, via animation and animators that reflect the world I never had on screens, and rarely in comics, I will bring them to life, and show kids and adults they 'belong' in the realms of imaginations un-mined perhaps until they are inspired by something outside themselves. Expose them to Exciting Worlds my Artists will make happen for them as in my world of art and artists Genius is a Sun that burns mediocrity to ash.
