My favorite art to create is work that feels uplifting and empowering. I’m drawn to pieces that carry positive energy—words and forms that inspire strength, hope, and confidence. Through Chinese calligraphy, I love turning simple messages into meaningful visual expressions that can encourage others and create a sense of connection.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through the power of writing words—how simple phrases can carry deep emotion, meaning, and connection. Through Chinese calligraphy, each word becomes more than language; it becomes a visual expression of feeling. I’m inspired by the way positive words can uplift, heal, and shift perspective, both for myself and for others.
What would you do with $25,000?The $25,000 People’s Artist Award will be used to expand Chinese calligraphy as a healing art that empowers, inspires, and uplifts. I will bring this work into the community through workshops and public events, creating spaces for reflection, creativity, and connection. This support will help make calligraphy more accessible while fostering cultural appreciation and using the power of words to uplift and heal.
