My paintings do not intend to capture reality. Rather I create my own reality transporting the viewer into a new imaginative and naturalist
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite types of art are Mexican art and pop art. I am especially drawn to Mexican art because of its vibrant colors, cultural symbolism, and strong connection to history and tradition. Many Mexican artists use their work to express identity, community, and emotion, which makes the art feel powerful and meaningful to me.I also enjoy pop art, especially the work of contemporary artists like Yayoi Kusama. Her use of bold colors, repetition, and playful patterns creates a unique.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from Mexican artist Rufino Tamayo who combined modern European painting styles with Mexican folk themes with surrealist influences. Rather I create my own reality transporting the viewer into a new imaginative and naturalistic world which is parallel to real life. In my artwork I am very interested in exploring color, shapes, pattern, and textures to achieve different types of atmospheric compositions. Each painting that I make is carrying a different message, stories.
What would you do with $25,000?The $25,000 would be used to expand what I’m currently doing already and hopefully have more people see what I do.
