You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I seek to create objects imbued with mystical properties acting as conduits to inner worlds and parallel dimensions underlying the thin veil of reality. I wish to seduce the viewer with line, color and form. Beneath the beauty lies an undercurrent of the dark and sublime, and in some cases, cloaked in cynical humor.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in Eastern and Islamic art, 1930's Hollywood, Science Fiction, Hammer Horror, Gothic and folk horror films, the films of Kenneth Anger, the music of Igor Stravinsky and György Ligeti, Frank Zappa, the dense sweet fragrance of coffee, incense, tobacco, dark chocolate, and opium, and the dark luminous creatures lurking in the ocean's infinite void.
What would you do with $25,000?This amount of money would greatly help alleviate some medical bills incurred by family members in the past year, while also providing the means to purchase materials freeing me up to spend more time in the studio/laboratory to create more abominations.
