I’m a college grad and had a 20 yr career in web design, before getting my CDL. Art gives me an escape, it’s my way of connecting w people.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Ideas and moments from my life. I like color, so a lot of my work has very bright colors, with a pop art influence. I like to play and experiment. I mostly paint, but also draw, and have a graphic design background. My first career was designing websites. Sometimes I include 3D elements in my paintings. I try my best to stand out. To be a little different. Personally I think my portrait work has really improved as well. I’ve also completed in (and won) a few sidewalk chalk contests.
Where do you find inspiration? From life experiences. Almost every piece tells a story. I also do freelance and commissioned work. Right now I’m doing a lot of pet portraits, which helps me deal with the loss of my Golden Doodle. Ollie was my best friend, and helped get me through some tough times.
What would you do with $25,000?I’ve been through 2 bad relationships including one divorce. Last Fall I moved back to Ohio, and will FINALLY be moving into a new house soon. No more renting. The prize money would help me purchase home furnishings and necessities. FYI I drive truck for a living (60+ hours a week). All I do is work and my artwork. I wish I had more time for the ladder.
