As an image-bearer of a Creator, it’s in my nature to try to create, and try to understand. My outlet for that is painting, it brings me joy
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to paint with watercolor. My favorite topics are themes of love and grief, and the navigation of life in a dark world full of both beauty and pain. I often use imagery such as space, skeletons, and figures to convey meaning.
Where do you find inspiration?I am inspired by many artists I respect (traditional artists as well as musical artists), by nature, by my religious beliefs, by my upbringing overseas, and by the people and places I love. There is inspiration all around.
What would you do with $25,000?I would of course use the money to take care of life things like bills, and to give back to my parents who have supported me so much, but I would also use the money to pursue artistic dreams. I could take more time for creating, and I could afford to try new mediums and techniques more easily.
