Ceramic Arts. Mostly functional pottery though I love the medium in general. Pottery is meant to be used and experienced. You drink from it, you touch it. You love the chipped mug you drink from everyday. It is very personal.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in history, in other artists, and in the end user of my pottery. I also find inspiration in other mediums. I love the idea of making something from clay that looks impossible. The idea of translucent porcelain is an obsession. I have also been a silversmith and a fiber artist. All these feed into my pottery.
What would you do with $25,000?I would purchase a larger, better kiln. And some towards a better vehicle for traveling to shows and workshops.
