You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is art that makes people feel and wonder. Colorful, living art that sparks emotion, curiosity, and thought. I am drawn to storytelling through impermanent beauty, using tropical seeds and organic fibers to create pieces that are human, meaningful, and rooted in ancestral knowledge, sovereignty, and connection to the forest.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw inspiration from nature, especially the rainforest, with its rich colors, textures, and living ecosystems. I’m inspired by Indigenous women, their strength, love, and life-giving presence. My art is guided by emotion and human experience, creating pieces that invite connection and carry a story.
What would you do with $25,000?I want to invest in building a human infrastructure for Indigenous diplomacy across North and South America, rooted in Eugene, Oregon and Quito, Ecuador. This organization supports Indigenous communities in the Andes and Amazon through education, ecology, storytelling, art, and cultural revitalization. Grounded in Indigenous knowledge and leadership, it amplifies voices, strengthens sustainable livelihoods, and builds dignity, connection, and global solidarity among Indigenous nations.
