What is your favorite type of art to create?

My favorite type of art to create is expressive paintings that reflect Black culture, identity, and emotion. I enjoy creating pieces with bold colors, texture, and storytelling because I want people to feel something when they look at my work. I also love experimenting with mixed media and personal concepts that connect art with real-life experiences, music, and culture.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration through my struggles, life experiences, Black culture, music, faith, and the people around me. My art reflects emotion, growth, and real-life moments that shaped me into the artist I am today.

What would you do with $25,000?

With $25,000, I would invest in my future as an artist and educator. I would use the money to grow my art business, E. Canvas, purchase professional art supplies and equipment, and fund larger projects centered around Black culture and storytelling. I would also use part of it toward my education at Claflin University and create opportunities to give back through community art workshops and mentorship for younger artists.
