My work is what I see in my world. The media changes with experimentation. I am currently working with cold wax and oil.

Spontaneous art. I will see something in nature or a person’s self expression or a photo. It stays in my memory and then gets incorporated into whatever media I’m working in. I love experimenting with various media and mixing them at times. Teaching art for 30 years was often limiting because education was the goal. On my own time I have always relied on experimentation and spontaneity to let myself free to the adventure of simply creating for the sake of creating.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration can be illusive since it is subject to mood and life’s turbulence. I find my inspirations become apparent when I am alone and quiet. When my senses are open and my mind can wander; this is when I develop inspirations for an art piece.
What would you do with $25,000?I’m open to suggestions . I might use it to send myself to art classes at the Art Institute of Chicago. Or, I could give it to my granddaughter ( she is exceptionally talented) for art school. Or, I could endow the local art league so we could afford a location.Or,. I could divide the money and do all these possibilities. Whatever the money is spent on, it needs to go farther than serving just me. I am aged now and don’t want or need to have this spent on just me.
