Art lets me explore and express who I am, shaping thoughts and emotions into something others can feel too and connect in a meaningful way.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love creating with different mediums, but fluid paint and texture are where I feel most alive. There’s something about the way paint moves and settles that feels organic — I build up layers, add texture, and let the materials react. It keeps the process loose, experimental, and honest.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from nature’s colors and textures, the way light hits water or how bark cracks —My work translates those textures and colors into abstract surfaces. Nature has no interest in perfection, and neither do I. It’s in that imperfect, unscripted space that the work finds its voice.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I could fully invest in my practice and extend its reach. This funding would cover essential studio costs, materials, and the larger-scale canvases . Right now, cost dictates creative risk. With this support, I’d have the freedom to scale up my fluid work, and pursue the ideas that matter most. Importantly, it would also allow me to dedicate time to community projects — teaching workshops, donating work, and supporting those in need.
