I create art to tell stories, transform spaces, and connect people; it’s therapeutic for me and gives me a space to explore the impossible.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I’m inspired to create immersive, narrative-driven work across painting and sculpture that merges realism with abstraction. I’m especially interested in pieces that engage with their environment and invite broad audiences into the experience. My work focuses on creating visually striking forms that evoke curiosity while conveying deeper emotional and symbolic layers.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw inspiration from my surroundings, lived experiences, and the energy of the communities I encounter. Urban environments, coastal landscapes, and travel across the U.S. and abroad have all shaped my perspective. I’m especially influenced by storytelling in film, comics, and everyday human interaction—moments that reveal connection, contrast, and shared experience.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in expanding my studio practice and increasing access to my work through public and community-focused projects. This includes materials, equipment, studio upgrades, and time to develop new work. A portion would support my family, providing stability and allowing me to focus more fully on creating while pursuing more meaningful projects and deeper community engagement.
