I create art to make a living, to find myself ,both spiritually and as a human being and to transform anything .To help my family in Cuba .
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I do visual art , performance art , experimental videos . Sometimes I mix all those form of art manifestations and the art of the script writing .creating sculptures to connect with people as form of social experiment to show the effects of the art in community will all the diversity . Always looking documentation to understand how the art can make society better. And I think this's my favorite type of art to create for now . Transforming any location.
Where do you find inspiration?I am inspired by life—which I view as also encompassing death, as a continuation of that very life. I draw inspiration from nature; in Cuba, where I was born, the colors are incredibly vibrant. I also find inspiration in my Afro-Cuban culture, which offers an abundance of material for inspiration across every branch of the arts. I am inspired by all the various mixtures that gave rise to the *mestizaje*—the cultural blending—of this earth and its continents. Drums inspire me deeply . And hope
What would you do with $25,000?It would be fantastic if, as an artist, I could further my development by investing in materials for painting and video editing, and also be able to assist my elderly people living in Cuba with their food needs. I could organize an exhibition where the art I produce—made possible by this investment—could be sold. Furthermore, with a high-quality hard drive and a good computer, I could edit my extensive archive of images from across Cuba, creating a documentary series for a project I call *Seres
