Abstract is my favorite kind of art. Before art therapy, I didn't think there was anything good left in me. One year later, I had my first show and sold my 11th painting that night. Abstract art helps me to create a make-believe world for everyone who looks at my art. Art helps us to process all of our experiences and emotions.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration in my pain and life itself. Every time I sit down to work on a project, I become one with the art. I dream and think about it all the time
What would you do with $25,000?I am a mental health coach, and I organize workshops and use art to talk about the stigma of mental health. I invite doctors and social workers to talk about mental health and coping skills. I paid out of pocket $25,000 will help many people with the workshops.
