I create art to help myself process my emotions and connect more deeply with my other interests.

My favorite type of art to create is either realistic colored pencil pieces or more illustrative pieces done in marker and pen. I like to take a lot of inspiration from tattoo art styles in particular. Really though, whether it be turning a poem I wrote into a collage, intricate nail art, or putting an unnecessary amount of thought into the graphic design of slideshows I have to present in class, I try to incorporate art into everything I do.
Where do you find inspiration?I have a wide range of interests including animals, video games, movies, skeletal anatomy, and tattoo art, that I like to incorporate into my artwork. I enjoy letting the inspiration come to me as opposed to chasing it down. One of my most recent pieces was inspired by my friend who has achromatopsia. I challenged myself to use colors only for their value, ignoring their hue entirely.
What would you do with $25,000?If I won $25,000, I would probably put $5,000 away in savings and use the other $20,000 towards my college education. My parents spend a lot of money on me, and I’d love to be able to return the favor and help relieve them of that financial burden.
