I’m a mixed media artist creating layered, expressive work rooted in healing, becoming, and growth, celebrating the strength within us.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love creating contemporary mixed media paintings as I’m drawn to the in-between, where materials meet and transform. Bringing them together feels like building something whole, layered, expressive and alive. The layers create depth, much like we carry depth within ourselves. To me, that process mirrors us, complex, evolving and powerful. It’s an honest and intuitive way of creating that allows each piece to hold emotion, movement and meaning all at once.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the quiet courage of becoming. In people who continue to grow, heal and move forward even when it isn’t seen. I’m moved by the way we all carry different stories, yet continue to evolve through them. My work reflects that inner movement and becomes an invitation to pause, feel and reconnect with your own story, healing, and the strength that exists within you.
What would you do with $25,000?$25,000 would be more than support. It would be momentum. I would invest it in expanding my creative practice through higher-quality materials, larger-scale works, and dedicated studio time to further develop my ideas. I want to create work that is not only visual but emotional, helping people feel seen and less alone. I would also produce accessible prints and share my work through exhibits and storytelling, with the intention of building a body of work rooted in healing and reflection.
