I love transforming texture, thread, and imperfect materials into tactile stories inspired by nature.

I love exploring texture, nature, and movement through textile art. Free-motion machine embroidery feels very natural to me- almost like sketching or painting with thread. I enjoy layering fibers, rhythm, and imperfections to create pieces that feel organic, tactile, and alive. The process itself is what inspires me most: slowly building something with warmth, movement, and feeling.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in forests, natural textures, fibers, shadows, and everyday materials. I’m drawn to organic imperfections, repetition, and layered surfaces that hold quiet emotion and tell stories through texture rather than words.
What would you do with $25,000?I would create large scale interactive tactile art experiences for kids and families inspired by forests, texture, and handmade processes. I want people to slow down, explore with their hands, embrace process over perfection, and reconnect with the joy, warmth, and feeling that handmade art can bring.
