Art has no boundaries, I love the rhythmic interplay of ink and texture, turning fine lines into tactile stories that speak beyond words.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My practice is centered on the intricate world of technical pen art and abstract, textured compositions. I am drawn to the precision of fine-line drawing and the way ink interacts with tactile surfaces to create depth. My work often explores the balance between structured detail and fluid, organic forms, resulting in pieces that invite the viewer to experience art not just visually, but through a sense of rhythm and physical presence.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration comes from the subtle textures found in the natural world and the meditative flow of repetitive patterns. I find beauty in the small, often overlooked details, the way shadows fall on a surface or the intricate grain of a material. My creative drive is also fueled by the challenge of translating complex emotions into minimalist, tactile forms using only the most fundamental tools of ink and paper.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in a dedicated studio space equipped with professional-grade archival tools and large-scale canvases to elevate my pen and texture art. A portion would fund a solo exhibition, focusing on high-end framing and curation to showcase the tactile nature of my work. Finally, I’d expand my art therapy workshops, providing premium materials to help others discover the meditative power of fine-line drawing, while exploring new ways to merge traditional ink with 3D sculptural forms.
