Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

I am a woman, I am a painter, I feel things, I see things. I love color, line, form, & expression, especially visual thoughts ~ I love figurative, abstraction & impressionism. I like to engage the viewer to look closer, find surprises, step back, move forward ~ I often use the female figure to tell a story that I experience somehow, willing or unwilling. Nature speaks to me, I want meaning in my work, so skyscapes, landscapes, sea interpretations, light representations dance with me in nature.

Where do you find inspiration?

As William Blake, the English poet/artist would say : "The Imagination is the Christ", so i am free to boundless visions of things that matter to my inner self. Sometimes I draw with 8B graphite pencil to explore perspectives, scale, form, to capture the poetry of my message in art terms, canvas or paper at the moment, but I live in images of sculpture, design that might be functional, or remain a form to be open. My greatest delight is to paint on canvas , and on good paper. I draw first ~

What would you do with $25,000?

I am working on a written work, a screenplay, & I would join the Writer's League of America, and get the legal support required to market my intellectual property. I have in mind to create a children's Coloring Book....and I have toyed with creating some paper dolls for educational interest about different cultures around the globe. I would attempt to find a gallery to represent my work, and create & market limited edition prints with the prize ~ It would definitely help create more art pieces~
