I create art to reveal the hidden landscapes of the human spirit, transforming emotion, memory, and imagination into powerful visual worlds
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create abstract, expressive paintings that blend surrealism, geometric structure, and raw gesture. My work explores the body as landscape, using layered marks, symbols, and color to hold emotion, memory, and tension. I’m drawn to pieces that feel both controlled and uncontained, where structure meets instinct and something honest breaks through.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in lived experience, especially moments of vulnerability, healing, and transformation. My work is shaped by memory, the body, and the quiet tension between struggle and clarity. I’m also influenced by architecture, patterns, and the rhythm of repetition. Inspiration often comes from within, but also from observing how people carry their stories, even when they’re unspoken.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in expanding my studio practice and creating a new body of work that explores inner landscapes on a larger, more immersive scale. The funding would support materials, studio space, and documentation, as well as the development of an exhibition that brings my work into dialogue with the public. It would also allow me to build sustainable momentum in my career and reach new audiences.
