Francys Luis-Ravelo

Creating art or painting puts my whole body and soul into it. For me, it’s a form of meditation, and it makes me so happy.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

Abstract Representing my deepest feelings in an abstract manner allows me to extract all the energy from the moment of creation, while also enabling me to see other people's interpretations of my art. At the end of the journey, we are all different, and through abstract art I have received many surprising perceptions. Abstract art also brings me happiness and guides me along a spiritual path, allowing me to continue discovering the mysteries of our own human nature and our own creation.

Where do you find inspiration?

I fell in love with the voice, guitars, chords, and overall creation of a rock and roll musician from the 80's who is no longer here. Or rather, true love fell over me, the kind of thing that happens without being asked for. Since then, I have expressed those beautiful feelings, the pain of his absence, and every romantic way I could possibly show them. Through yearning, spirituality, discovery, love, my connection to music and my inner world, deepened, and it has made me a far more awake!

What would you do with $25,000?

I would travel to Peru, Mexico, Brazil, and the Amazon in search of ancient knowledge. We, as humans, do not fully understand our capabilities, or rather, we have forgotten them. I would use the money to visit specific places in the world that have powerful energy, commune with ancient cultures, and continue deepening myself on that spiritual path. We are in the promised land, and we should not waste the opportunity to become one with everything that surrounds us, with the entire universe.
