I create art to slow the noise, hold space, and reveal the quiet tension between what is present and what is not.

My favorite work is abstract, where the form is only suggested instead of fully explained. I’m drawn to pieces shaped by balance, interruption, movement, and space. I enjoy making paintings that encourage people to pause and reflect, rather than look for clear answers. When viewers find their own meaning in the work, the piece continues to feel alive long after I’ve finished it.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in contrasts like noise and silence, fullness and emptiness, or structure and collapse. I’m also inspired by overlooked moments, negative space, architecture, philosophy, faith, and the quiet emotional weight people carry. Often, the strongest ideas come from what is missing instead of what is obvious.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use $25,000 to deepen both the work and the reach of my practice. to secure studio time, invest in larger and better materials, document the work professionally, and build stronger opportunities to share it with collectors and communities. It would create a space to make more ambitious work, and work towards a more cohesive, and lasting body of work.
