I'm a photographer - love creating portraits Here are some of the personalities I've had in front of my cameras - recently photographed Zumi & of the Black Lips, for the cover of the new NO MAG. Also inside find Phranc - X, the Band - Chris D, founder of The Flesh Eaters - Tattoo Artist, Jill Jordan and Charles Benefiel, Artist. From over the years, Joan Jett/Black Hearts, T-Bone Burnett, Viggo Mortensen, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Fear, Blasters, Top Jimmy/Rhythm Pigs, Darby Crash & Kari Krome.
Where do you find inspiration?I studied @ Orange Coast College & Art Center for 4 years. I love the history of photography & I'm inspired by all the Great Photographers and the battle raging in me & in the world around us. A concept creator. I've built sets in studio and on location. I love working with fog and rain. Once I took a month thinking about what would happen to me if a nuclear bomb hit, this inspired a dream. I photographed my response by building a set & shot a girl & live rats laying in a bombed out crawl space.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it to work on my scanning my archive, polishing my website, for prints and the two books, I have in the works. I'd also get back to shooting large format 8x10 neg, color transparency & other formats, as well as digital, in-studio portraits. I would build a studio, or rent a studio. I've built two studios in the past. I'd also like to shoot portraits at great locations in L.A. In the past, I shot, "X" under the Freeway for their Los Angeles Album & Mods w/Scooters in the L.A. River.
