I’ve been drawing since I was a preteen in the late 70’s. I love the escapism nature of art that allowed me to traverse worlds & universes.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love the western comic book sequential art form. The dynamic pacing, composition of layouts have always excited me. Being able to illustrate countless worlds and dimensions has always been such a wonderful creative experience. Drawing traditionally with pencil, pen, ink, markers and on some occasions digital is always an exploration into escapism imagination.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from the many figures and artwork that I surround myself in my studio. They are a reflection of what excited me as a child reading comic books. Watching television shows as well as movies. The other element is my wife Jessica who is my forever muse. She might not think she inspires me but I’m always thinking of stories with her in it. So she is definitely an important inspirational force in my life.
What would you do with $25,000?I would pay off some bills. My wife and I will enjoy a short celebratory getaway.
