Franklin Stone

Art is the way I process things logically. It is how I process emotions and have built my own personal philosophy after losing everything.

What is your favorite type of art to create?

Oil pastels, drawing what I see in front of me or the way I view things. Bringing my vision to life.

Where do you find inspiration?

I take in what’s around me. Trying not to miss out on the beautiful things we as people take for granted everyday.

What would you do with $25,000?

If I was given $25,000, I’d treat it as a turning point. I’d build a consistent studio to create real, layered work and open it to others—especially veterans needing an outlet. Art helped me process what words couldn’t. I’d also document the process and build a platform so this continues beyond the funding. Not just art, but a space for honest expression.
