I create art because I have to. It’s my lifeline, my heart, my soul—how I understand myself, truth, and transform pain into beauty.

Photography and music. Both allow me translate my experience in different ways. Photography is my way of finding beauty in the everyday, and keeping a document of it all. I also use it as a way to capture how I see people, how I see the world. Music is more about how I interpret everything that’s going on within. It’s how I, not only translate my feelings, thoughts, and emotions, but also use it as a tool to understand what I am truly feeling and experiencing and why.
Where do you find inspiration?Within. I feel everything so deeply—love, pain, heartbreak, excitement, awe, confusion, grief, guilt, loss, exhaustion, anxiety, etc. As an empath, it’s overwhelming at times. But I’m grateful because my emotions inspire me to create fluidly and help me grow, learn, understand myself, and process my experiences. I also find inspiration in how I connect with others. I love to capture the people I care about.
What would you do with $25,000?To be real, I would put some of it toward paying off debt—helping offset losses from a really difficult time in my life.I’d also invest in new camera gear, something more portable to inspire me to shoot more frequently.Depending on how much support my mother needs right now—she’s dealing with some medical concerns—I’d love to move out of my parents’ house. I’d also put money into recording a new album, printing and framing my photography, designing a book, and maybe even buy a reliable used car.
