Mixed media art has been my way of coping with chronic illness, as well as highlighting the joys of life in such a dark world.

Mixed media paintings with beaded embellishments. My favorite themes celebrate the divine feminine (life) and also ghosts, ghouls and the idea of afterlife (death). I also love creating pieces that highlight social justice issues and human rights that deserve recognition and care.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everyday in the people I love, in strangers who show kindness, in the beauty of nature, and in the never ending cycle of life and death.
What would you do with $25,000?I would continue building my studio to foster further work. I would use it to continue sharing my art on larger scales, hopefully through traveling exhibits. It is one of my dreams to curate a Queer BIPOC art show in the Omaha area. I would put some into savings - as a disabled person it’s important to have emergency medical funding. I would aim to gift any remaining funds; currently I regularly donate profits from sales for mutual aid funds.
