I create surreal photographic worlds to explore emotion, reflection and the spaces between light and darkness.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create surreal fine art photography that explores the psychological landscapes of the inner world. Photography became my visual language during my own blue years with depression, transforming those experiences into spaces for reflection.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from psychology, dreams and primarily the years I went through depression. I also draw inspiration from the melancholic landscapes of Sweden, where much of my work is photographed, as well as from paintings, symbolism, graphic design and cinema.
What would you do with $25,000?I have always dreamed of building an artist studio with a darkroom where I can further explore traditional photographic processes and mixed media. Winning would allow me to invest in new photographic processes and expand my practice through larger-scale projects centered around photography and mental health.
