To express my feelings visually helps me understand my story, my identity, develop a sense of belonging through intuition and observation

I love mixed media because I enjoy combining materials, layering meaning, and blending observation with intuition to explore identity and memory, combined with portraiture and photographic collage—bringing together a variety of human expressions and real life observation into one practice. It feels exciting and always evolving.
Where do you find inspiration?Connecting to the world around me. As a Brazilian-born artist living in New York, my work becomes a bridge between cultures, memories, and imagined histories. Through figurative painting and mixed media, I explore both observation and intuition—what I see, and what I feel but cannot fully explain. My process often shifts between looking outward and turning inward, especially as I reflect on identity and ancestry.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in my creativity further, buy materials for my studio, take courses and residencies abroad.
