Everything I envision strikes an energy within my soul, body and mind. These feelings never cease they drive me to create in all medias.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Whether abstract or representational, each piece carries a sense of presence, my hope to capture not just what I see but what I am feeling. Oils, poured fluid art and many styles of inspirational art happens to be my favorite. Then there is photography, a love since childhood. I see, I snap the camera and then study the results. Which media would this look best in, how can I improve it of was it perfect as a photo. This is how I create, I stop and evaluate and the process begins.
Where do you find inspiration?Everywhere I look I find inspiration. Mine comes not just visually but from within. Sometimes it’s when something calm reveals it’s strength, or watching a rosebud bloom into a beautiful flower. As always nature offers a language of symbols such as trees, feathers, birds, and seasons that I interpret not as literal subjects, but as expressions of connection, transformation, and spirit. Then an image begins to emerge, a woman or a firefly. My imagination takes over with an unexplained force.
What would you do with $25,000?Since I formed a memorial fund years ago for a victim of domestic violence I often donate to charities or schools and that would be my first thought on where $25,000 would be placed. I often offer classes for seniors, so the money would help some expenses to be taken care of so I can continue to purchase supplies.
