My art heals me. Free to express what I see and feel brings beauty and confidence I can share with others.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I enjoy them all so much it's hard to choose just one. Painting is my go-to because I've been doing it the longest and am comfortable with it most times. But comfort can get stale so i welcome new or unconventional ideas and mediums. My styles are always evolving. Photography and sculpting are also favorites that bring deep satisfaction.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration is never in short supply. It's everywhere and in everything. A conversation, a cityscape, a nature walk, relationships, feelings and dreams are all at our fingertips to use as inspiration. I am often moved by unsightly & wasteful areas as well as societal pains like addictions, mental health, homelessness and corruption.
What would you do with $25,000?I would buy the space I need to work in. My living space is covered with art, art supplies, projects and it's difficult to process this way. Once organized, I'd like to share the healing with others by providing safe creative space and encouragement.
