My favorite type of art is creating a custom handmade guitar hanger from weathered-down trees found around metropolitan Phoenix areas. By recovering the logs, allows me to create a 100% sustainable desert hardwood art. Followed by applying thousands of volts of electricity to the wood, creating a lightning strike in random slow motion making unique abstract figures, tree and vein like shapes on the surface of the wood. I seal the burn marks with different epoxy colors.
Where do you find inspiration?The creative design behind each guitar hanger is based on the musicians I’ve come to admire throughout my lifetime that made an impact and inspired me to play guitar. A profound influence on my musical life since childhood. It stands as a symbol of my gratitude for his immense talent and lasting impact on the world of music.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest the money and use it as reserve to purchase tools and parts for my shop. Secondly, I would take 10% of the $25,000 and donate to charities and non-profit organizations related to the music industry. In life, it's all about giving back to the community and make this world a better place to live.
