My favorite type of art to create is jewelry. This medium is my preferred choice due to its absolutely endless potential. anything can be jewelry and any material can be used. I find the what makes me continue to love this art is my endless search for learning, where if I ever get bored in making I can always find new ways to create and learn. Further into why I love Jewelry is not only the creating and making; but rather the recipient gets the piece. I find the reaction my pieces is priceless
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in so many facets of life that its hard to pin one down. If I had to list several it would include the people who I make things for; each piece has a personality that reflects the wearer. I also have a need to listen to the material itself, whether I listen to a stone, or silver, or wood, or other, i find the material screams what it wants to look like. Lastly I look to nature, in any sense of the word I think nature is infinitely beautiful and can be understood by us all.
What would you do with $25,000?Winning $25,000 wouldn’t just be luck for me, it would be a chance to build something lasting. I’d use it with intention: creating a safety net, investing deeply into my jewelry craft to grow a business rooted in skill and originality, and continuing to learn so I can keep pushing my work forward. And yes, I’d allow myself a small piece to celebrate and enjoy it. For me, this this isn’t about spending; it’s about turning a single opportunity into a future I can stand on.
