My photography is gonzo, standing on the fine line of Art and Doc. I also try to use eastern philosophy especially in my photos from Asia.

My favorite art form is photography. I've taken more traditional art classes before but I don't have the dexterity in my hands to be able to do most forms of visual art. I'd love to learn and document all sorts of art around the world epically region specific & aboriginal forms. I'll try anything at least once!! The way photography film or digital asks me to slow down and be aware and directly reflects philosophy lets me further myself through my art. Film makes the photo so much more visceral.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in writing. Philosophy and creative texts form all around the world greatly inform my creative drive. I also find inspiration form the people around me. Life and Art both foster more art. I try to have a perspective where I can find beauty in most if not all of the world. Stop and smell the flowers, introduce yourself to a stranger just take a moment to be present and perceive without judgment.
What would you do with $25,000?I'd use it to upgrade my current image making equipment and to go to Taiwan next year for 2 months to learn Chinese. I'd be able to buy all the equipment I need to make my own darkroom in my dorm! I currently only have the chemistry to process B&W but this would allow me to get into color and slide film. Being able to involve myself in every aspect of image making unlocks practically infinitely more room for creative expression. Ultimately I'd be able to push my creative expression farther.
