Abstract art and art that makes fun statements. Usually it’s colorful, sassy and awesome. When I go into our shared studio and begin mixing lithography and etching inks and it all evolves. It’s intuitive, free spirited and glorious to have it flow onto the plate. I prepare the printmaking press by dampening paper, placing it on top of the plate and running it through the press. The accidental play is part of the excitement when pulling the print from the plate. I love this & screen printing.
Where do you find inspiration?I find an inspiration in colors, catalogs, artworks, historical artwork, nature anything that gives me inspiration is taken into my artwork. I love life. I love making artwork, and I love, inspiring others, and giving others an opportunity to live with art.
What would you do with $25,000?I would buy a Takach Printing Press: Takach 4072 Floor Model Etching Press Package - Professional Hand-Operated Intaglio & Relief Press to upgrade our SuperCharged Printmakers studio that is used by an inclusive group of incredible artists. It will be fantastic to have this press for folks to freely create in any medium including etching, intaglio, woodcut, linoleum block and monotype with more freedom in size. I love working big as it allows more room to compose. Thank you!
