Art is my therapy in life since I was a child. Art is my window to an alternate world. As I get older, I hope it can do the same for others.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art is sculpture and painting. My messages usually investigate our choices and interactions as they are fossilized in an uncertain future. I enjoy making are that uses recycled electronics, mixed with stone materials. The type of art I like to create is a future study of our remains on a very distant time on this Earth.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes the influences of the past, actions of the present and their future consequences. Caribbean mythology sets a foundation at the beginning of my art making process. It's traditional way of trapping spiritual energy within an artifact, to bury into the earth, reflects a start to my method of expression. Invasive artifacts of the present, guide the direction of the physical form of the artwork. Future interpretations of unknown narratives influence my artwork's superficiality.
What would you do with $25,000?I would like to use the money to help my family. For some people, this might not be that much money, but for me it will help solve a lot of immediate and serious problems. It's easier to ask, why is this a question?
