I create art to connect with people beyond words. I converse with them through interaction with music, sound, technology, and form. Feedback

I’m drawn to interactive sound art because it helps me understand people in ways other art forms cannot. It is visceral, immediate, and rooted in honest, almost childlike reaction. Because public art education is often limited, I want every brief encounter to matter. If I am given even 15 seconds of someone’s attention, I want to create something memorable, an exchange through which we connect, leave an imprint, and I learn something true about them. That fleeting contact will stay with both.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the curiosity of human experience, in how each life feels distinct yet still meets others through shared moments of art and connection. In times of disruption, overstimulation, and constant change, I use sound, technology, and interdisciplinary mediums to encourage unity and self-awareness. My work seeks to speak to the core of humanism and to the natural conditions that shape how we feel, connect, and understand one another.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use $25,000 to help make sound art more mainstream through education and access. I would build alliances with minority-serving art museums, especially in my hometown of Puerto Rico, to create workshops in interactive art and sound. I want people to understand the magic of sound beyond music, and how technology can expand artistic experience. I believe the arts are essential for unifying people, deepening awareness, and elevating quality of life across communities and generations alike.
