I create to make the invisible visible, using photography as a tool to investigate how history, politics, and climate shape our world.

I specialize in expanded photography—a practice where the image is just the beginning. My favorite work emerges at the intersection of analog precision and material experimentation. I love the slow, deliberate process of large-format photography paired with radical studio interventions like solarization, laser etching, and heat treatment. This allows me to create works that aren't just pictures of a place, but physical records of the instability and erosion inherent in our environments.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration is found in the historically layered and politically charged nature of place. Having lived across Germany, the UK, and the US, I am drawn to sites of transition—from the "ghosts" of the Berlin Wall to the sinking foundations of Manhattan. I am inspired by the dialogue between the archival record and the site immersion. For me, a landscape is a living archive, and my work is fueled by the challenge of making visible the invisible forces that govern it.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25k, I will scale The Sinking City into an immersive, three-dimensional experience. I will invest in a Linhof monorail camera to achieve the architectural precision and perspective control my forensic gaze requires. The remaining funds will drive material innovations: sourcing large-format film, site-specific pigments, and structural substrates for 3D installations. Your support transforms raw archival research into a tactile, civic encounter with our shifting world.
