My favorite type of art to create is abstract oil painting. I feel most free when painting intuitively and allowing emotion and energy to move through me. I love using color as a language, expressing feeling through unique color combinations and movement. Abstraction allows me to revisit feelings, places, and energies that no longer exist in a tangible way, giving me a sense of connection and closure.
Where do you find inspiration?I find most of my inspiration in nature and spirituality. I’m drawn to the balance between feeling grounded in the present moment and exploring the unseen things larger than ourselves. Through abstraction, I’m able to revisit emotions, memories, places, and energies that may no longer exist in a tangible way, which often brings me a sense of connection and closure. I’m deeply inspired by color, movement, and the emotional experience art can create.
What would you do with $25,000?$25,000 would allow me to restock art supplies so I can continue creating freely, travel to gather inspiration from new places, and host free community classes. I’d love to make creating more accessible and less intimidating for people who are curious but don’t know where to start.
