Art helps me express what words cannot; transforming emotions and life experiences into something visible and alive.

My favorite art to create is emotionally driven, symbolic painting using oil and mixed media. I’m drawn to figurative pieces that allow me to explore real-life experiences; love, loss, healing, and transformation; and turn them into visual stories. Each piece becomes a space where emotions can exist beyond words, inviting others to connect, reflect, and see parts of their own journey within the work.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the moments that leave a mark; personal experiences, quiet reflections, and the emotions that stay with me. My Colombian roots and ancestral traditions influence the symbolism in my work, along with a deep connection to nature and spirituality. I’m drawn to what feels honest and human, and I translate that into visual stories others can connect with.
What would you do with $25,000?I will invest in my career by pursuing a post-master’s in art therapy. This will allow me to use art to help people process and heal emotional pain. I will also continue developing my art practice and expanding my professional opportunities.
