Creating has been part of me as long as I can remember. The process of deciding how to create something from my brain fascinates me.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Very recently I have fallen in love with textile art, particularly embroidery using found objects (such as my kitty’s whiskers she sheds) to various types of threads, yarns, etc. it’s hard to pick an actual favorite because I feel that different inspirations call for different genres. I love 3 dimensional pieces no matter the genre.
Where do you find inspiration? Most of my work melds the beauty of nature with the fragility of life and the human spirit. For me that almost always comes in the form of animals, especially their gentle spirits.
What would you do with $25,000?I would share some of it with various beautiful unfortunate humans that I come into contact with, a lovely place in Atlanta called “the Grief House” and I would take art classes to better my knowledge in my love of art. I am self taught and the idea that I could actually learn basic skill sets to enhance my art is extremely exciting to me!
