Im usually a portrait artist but lately I have been enveloped in the world of modern folk art with a psychedelic edge. My work blends bold colour, symbolism, astrology, animals, and expressive linework into highly recognizable pieces designed to feel energetic, emotional, and a little wild.
Where do you find inspiration?I find it in the shapes and sounds and movement around me. I find it in life in general. Tending towards portraiture in a way that makes me expand it into the abstract. Ive been a realist artist my whole life, yet I have been enjoying this genre whole heartedly.
What would you do with $25,000?A new art collective opened in our community and I would use it towards helping to establish it better and I would love to teach young people what Ive learned and what I know
