Sketching and painting are my hands down favorites but I also compose piano music, act, choreograph, and write children’s stories. I do thoroughly enjoy photography and creating fashion art, too (clothing, jewelry, stage make-up) I have three main genres of sketch and paint: realism, anime/cartoon, abstract. It would be nice to one day learn how to sing. It never hurts to have aspirations to continue to grow! Maybe someone from this competition knows how and will give me a few pointers!!
Where do you find inspiration?Art occurs naturally. When I see anything around me come together in a way that highlights the five major elements of a beautiful piece of art (color, shadow, line variation, depth, and balance/contrast) I then have to re-create it for myself and the world. Sometimes I have no inspiration at all and pictures just come to me as if asking for an invitation into this world and I alone hold the key to letting them in. These are sometimes the pieces to which I feel most connected.
What would you do with $25,000?My grandma was the president of the Art guild here in our town. (Cheyenne Wy) It is a tiny humble building, but beloved to many of us. I could use that money to improve our guild so that all the people, (especially the children) have access to a conducive environment where they as well can nurture their talents. What could be a better way to show new fledgling artists that dreams do come true? And I would consider publishing a children’s how to draw book that my kids would help me write. Fun!
