I create art to bring things to life—through realism and stories that didn’t exist, but needed to!
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favourite type of art to create is textured acrylic paintings—I love adding depth and dimension to my work. I also recently created a children’s book about adoption through foster care, because there are so few stories that kids can truly relate to, and I wanted to create something that feels seen, understood, and positive!
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in real life—the raw, wild, and honest parts of it. I’m currently working on an “Eyes of the Wild” collection, where I focus on capturing the beauty and emotion in animals. Their eyes feel so human to me, like even though we look different, we’re more alike than we think.
What would you do with $25,000?I’m 22 and already feel the weight of trying to keep up—saving, bills, and the pressure to have it all figured out. $25,000 would help me breathe again. I’d invest it to grow, then use that to fund a passion project to help stabilize housing in Nova Scotia. I know how stressful it feels, and I want to be part of making it easier for others!
