I’ve been studying the mind, and I’ve learned that we need healthy escapes. Art creates the place’s we wish we were, by capturing a moment.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art is photography. It is a mix of composition and adaptation. I shoot on a DSLR, on which manual settings provide the customization of exposure, depth, and computer processing. Locational attributes require analysis to deliver the composition I want, I can do this by changing my position, camera angle, and adjusting settings for optimal exposure. In this art, my medium is natural light in its blameless unforgiving nature.
Where do you find inspiration? The process of creating is inspiration as is the subject matter that I find along the way. As of late my thoughts have been directed toward peace. Peace between groups, peace with myself, peace with where I am, means consistent communication, free of aggression. When I take a photo, I must accept what is in front of me and choose which angle will allow others to be at peace, even if it’s just for a moment.
What would you do with $25,000?Taking photos of internationally loved locations would be incredibly meaningful for my life. I want to share what I make too! I would use $25,000 to better my skills and production quality, make my own prints, make frames, and photograph locations that resonate with a larger audience.
