I do it for the joy, comfort, and fulfillment it brings me. It helps me express what can’t be said with words, and brings thoughts to life.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to create pieces that allow me to express personal thoughts and feelings, as well as portraits, and surrealist work. I love sketching, painting, and collaging! I like to collage pieces of my work of varying medias as well, I love seeing them from a new lens & how they compare and contrast with my other pieces!
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through learning about artists, and through meeting great artists as well. Filmmakers such as Tim Burton, David Lynch, and Wes Anderson give me a great deal of inspiration. My Dad initially sparked my interest since before I could remember, we have always had a tradition of making art together. He showed me everything he knows, and I couldn’t be more grateful and thankful!
What would you do with $25,000?I would follow my dream. I have been saving for years to move to Providence, Rhode Island. Though I didn’t get in to RISD like I hoped for; the idea of collaborating & networking with fellow artists out there fills me with so much hope and excitement! My 2nd choice would be going to Europe, staying with my family in Holland or Germany, I would take an artists program & become involved with artists & the art world out there! :)
