My art is devoted to permanence, born from emotions that arrive with a feeling of eternity. A vessel for emotions to exist outside.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is metalwork because it combines creativity, skill, and emotion. I enjoy shaping metal into meaningful forms through techniques like soldering, casting, and fabrication. Working with metal feels rewarding because it turns hard industrial material into something expressive and personal. Metalsmithing challenges me to problem solve while allowing me to explore themes of permanence, emotion, and identity through handcrafted work.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through emotions and personal experiences. Feelings like anxiety, loneliness, love, and vulnerability often influence the work I create. I am interested in turning emotions into physical forms, especially through metalsmithing, because metal feels permanent and strong while still being able to express something deeply human. My art becomes a way to process emotions and give them a lasting presence.
What would you do with $25,000?If I had $25,000, I would give half of it to my sister to help pay off her student loans. With the rest, I would put some into my favorite non profits that focus on environmental concerns and animal extinction concerns. The rest would help support my pursuit in the arts and rent!
