Art is what makes me feel alive. Everytime I paint, I feel closer to my inner self. A perfect way to detach myself from this chaotic world.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I do various types of art, and my favourite among them is creating large-scale visionary paintings, inspired from my dreams and visions, combining fantasy and real world, where each artwork tells a story, a story created in real life from visionary imaginations. Like Van Gogh said, I dream my paintings and then I paint my dream, I feel the most close to my art when I am able to bring my visions to life.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from the nature, my visions and dreams that come randomly to me or when the universe is saying something close to me. I feel deeply, and everytime my emotions combine with my imagination, my mind gives me visions of a painting or artwork and I try to make it real as I imagined it. The challenge that comes with bringing these dreams into reality is what inspires me to keep going and improving my art everyday.
What would you do with $25,000?Along with making art, I love teaching art to all ages and making it accessible for people because I believe everyone deserves to be able to freely create. In India, I used to teach art to children free of cost, giving them a chance to learn and enhance their skills, in their favourite type of art. And then in Canada, I had the chance to teach retired seniors, hence now my goal is to create an organization where I dont just create myself but help others bring their vision to life as well.
