Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

I’m drawn to creating art that feels light at first glance—but carries weight underneath. Playful on the surface, purposeful at its core. I work with instinct, using real markings, texture, and mixed media to capture emotions that feel almost impossible to hold. Inspired by nature, love, and lived experience, my work evolves with time and circumstance. I invite the viewer in—to reflect, to feel, to connect, and at times, to become part of the piece itself, leaving their own presence within it.

Where do you find inspiration?

Through an open and curious mind, I find that studying my subject becomes a form of living knowledge—something I can shape, absorb, and merge with my own interpretation and fascination. Allowing the brush stroke space for artistic flow between intention and instinct; planning softens and the work evolves. When the spirit meets its hand, something alive emerges. I’m inspired by art as a universal language—powerful in its ability to touch, connect, and unite us on a higher plane.

Winning $25,000 would be life-changing. I built BittonArt from a blank canvas—guided by passion and a deep belief in the power of art. This support would allow me to grow the gallery, knowing my growth is the growth of the artists I represent. Together, we transform blank canvases into living works—layered with color, emotion, and connection, where each piece carries a story and a soul. This isn’t just a business—it’s a vision rooted in purpose, resilience, and community.
