Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

I am a multimedia artist, but I specifically focus on humanoid shapes. I take silhouettes of people and I turned them into what I call huMandalas. I paint them on clothing, canvas, and just about anywhere I can find. I mainly focus on prints and textile, but I also focus on painting home decor, immersive, art spaces and more. If the mood strikes me I also I’m a singer and was working as a private chef for quite some time.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in the universe within. Each cell is a being each organ, a skyscraper, all part of a harmonious union. I like to remind people that we are our own planets, to recognize that each part of our cosmos is almost like what we see outside. By using the silhouettes of people on top of human bodies, I represent what it looks like on the inside, thus reminding us that we are art, and we can create the universe that we want to see. and use our imaginations for good.

What would you do with $25,000?

Well, I want to do art/textile etc workshops for under privileged youth and families using recycled materials, turning “trash”into treasure. Maybe treasure into cash! Have a place for people to create and learn new skills. We will have in house auctions of the art that we make, as well as online sales. All the proceeds will go hundred percent back to the families. I am really inspired of how Art can heal. I want to share that with the world. We need as much as we can get.
